Celebrating bright edges, deep shadows, ancient sisterhood & wild hills
This CD is compiled from images I took during the festival held on Dartmoor over the Autumn Equinox in 2008. It costs £10.00, and a donation of £1 from each CD will go to Amnesty International womens’ campaigns. The slide show below is just some of the images on the CD.

Over 300 women from many different countries gathered to camp, dance, cry, create, eat, and play over three days, and many helpers came to set up the week before and clear up in the days that followed. The weather was amazing – after weeks of rain we had our first sunshine and warmth and clear skies.

I aimed to photograph as many of the activities as possible, as well as the feeling of this special time. Some images are crisp and clear, while others are atmospheric and intimate, and I hope that, as a collection, they give a real flavour of what was going on and how we felt - the thoughtfulness, companionship, tears, laughter, and wonderful food that we all experienced; and beyond these, the spirit of the land that held us so beautifully.

I would like to thank Carolyn Hillyer ( for asking me to do the photographs, and all the Thirteen Moons women for letting me slip into the space of their enjoyment to take these pictures as a record. Thank you also to Carol Assuray, who is featured in the cover photo.

If you would like prints of any images, please let me know - A4 prints are £10, A5 prints are £5 (including postage within UK).
